SarahJane McCann, Chef/First Mate
SarahJane has been cooking her entire life, learning the French and Italian basics from her mother and baking skills from her Aunt, who was the proud owner of Grateful Bread Bakery on the coast of Oregon. While in Tortola, she cooked alongside the great Chef Neil Thomas (a Michelin chef). SarahJane had the privilege of gaining extensive wine knowledge and wonderful service skills working with Patricia LaCourt, a very well-known chef and restaurateur on St. Thomas.
While in the states she studied hospitality management at East Carolina University, North Carolina. (GO PIRATES!) Her career took a huge leap when she was hired as a Culinary trainer for Darden Restaurants, working for Olive Garden and Longhorn Steak House. In the following years she accepted a transfer to the Longhorn Steak House franchise in Carolina, Puerto Rico, thus starting her culinary travels in the Caribbean.
SarahJane loves being on the water and has been sailing almost her entire life.
Being health conscious herself, SarahJane is more than willing to change her weekly menu to accommodate any dietary needs or special requests.
